ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Bermuda Waterworks Limited, a leading provider of piped and bottled water in Bermuda, produces and distributes premium-quality drinking water under its Pure Water brand. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Financial Controller to join our growing team.

Supporting the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Financial Controller (AFC) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Finance Department, including financial reporting, accounting operations, treasury management, budgeting, regulatory compliance, internal controls and financial governance; while ensuring the efficient operation of the Company's finance function. The AFC is also responsible for day-to-day management of the Finance team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of consolidated group and subsidiary financial statements in accordance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP and applicable stock exchange regulations.
• Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Oversee the treasury function for the group, including cash management, investments, bank and daily deposit reconciliations, dividend administration and cash handling controls.
• Oversee key accounting operations including (but not limited to) accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, royalties, director fees, corporate credit card administration, reconciliations and related financial controls.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis.
• Support corporate administration activities including shareholder communications, dividend distributions, employee share plan administration, director fee administration and related corporate documentation.
• Supervise, coach and develop Finance team members while promoting cross-training, succession planning and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum seven (7) years of progressive post-qualification accounting experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS; listed company reporting experience is highly desirable.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, external audit coordination, treasury management, budgeting, internal controls, regulatory compliance and accounting operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and financial analysis skills.
• Must maintain continuing professional education requirements.
