Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the overall management and daily operations of the resort.
- Work closely with all department heads to ensure smooth and effective coordination across the property.
- Monitor operational performance and ensure departmental objectives and standards are consistently achieved.
- Maintain the highest standards of guest service, hospitality, presentation, and overall guest experience.
- Support the implementation of the resort’s annual business plan, operational strategies, and commercial objectives.
- Review operational reports, financial performance, guest feedback, and key performance indicators, taking appropriate action where required.
- Assist in managing operating costs, budgets, productivity, and overall profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, resort standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
- Support the General Manager in developing and maintaining a positive, professional, and service-focused workplace culture.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to department heads and management team members.
- Conduct regular operational meetings and ensure effective communication of priorities, initiatives, and business updates.
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction, ensuring concerns and complaints are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, owners, suppliers, and key business partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, guest satisfaction, and commercial performance.
- Support crisis management, emergency procedures, and business continuity initiatives when required.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Operations, Sales, Revenue, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and other support functions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and excellence throughout the resort.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- 9+ years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality, with previous experience in a senior management or operational leadership role.
- Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Hotel Manager, Operations Manager, or equivalent senior position is preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple hotel or resort departments within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial performance, guest experience, and commercial objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse operational teams.
- Strong knowledge of luxury service standards and guest experience expectations.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, including experience with budgets, forecasting, cost control, and departmental performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain composed in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements within hospitality.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are considered an asset.
- Experience with hotel management systems and operational technology is a plus.
- Experience with hospitality systems and marketing platforms is a plus.
