Each year more than 250 000 people form all over the world Nordkapp and we're looking for team members to help them gather the best possible memories at the North Cape!

Our Gift Shop is one of Norway's largest and has a large variety of high quality gifts and souvenirs for our visitors to bring with them as a special memory or for their friends and family back home. Now we are looking for an Assistant Gift Shop Manager to join our team! As Assistant Gift Shop Manager your role is to deliver a pleasant experience for our visitors and ensuring the daily operation of the department in the absence of the Gift Shop Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Visual merchandising
  • Implementing and follow-up of daily routines and procedures
  • Training new team members
  • Ensure the quality of the daily operations as well as supporting the team
  • Customer service, sales and upselling
  • Ensure good communication within the team and between other departments
  • Other administrative tasks

As Assistant Gift Shop Manager you will be a primary support for the Gift Shop Manager and work very closely with the warehouse department, ensuring that the shop is well stocked and all employees follow daily routines and procedures. The position is mostly operational, but also includes some administrative tasks.

Because Scandic Destination Nordkapp welcomes visitors and team members from all over the world, all our team members must speak and write English. Skills in any Scandinavian language are appreciated. Please note any additional language skills in your application.

Other experience we hope you will share with us:

  • Minimum high school education
  • Previous experience from a similar role or experience from the industry
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience working with POS systems is preferable
  • Driver's license class B is preferable

This is a permanent position on fulltime with startup in Q3 2026 according to agreement. The position will also require work on evenings, weekends and public holidays based on posted schedule.

Hourly salary and compensation is based on the collective agreement Riksavtalen for Hotell og Restaurant (LO/NHO) and an addition for extra responsibilities. The company can assist with housing in the startup period.
