Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

Shorecrest Chargers Athletics is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Basketball Coach to support our varsity basketball program. This is a seasonal part-time, stipend position ideal for a coach who is passionate about player development, teamwork, and fostering a positive, competitive athletic culture within an independent school environment.

Essential Functions

• Assist the Head Coach with daily practices, game preparation, and in-game coaching
• Support player development with an emphasis on skill progression, sportsmanship, and character
• Help plan and implement effective, age-appropriate training sessions
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events
• Assist with program organization, including equipment management and field setup
• Promote and uphold the Mission, Core Values, and standards of Shorecrest
• Comply with all school and FHSAA regulations and policies
  

• Prior softball playing and/or coaching experience (high school, collegiate, or equivalent preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and parents
• Successful completion of background screening and required trainings
