We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Manager to oversee the company’s day-to-day Human Resources and Administration functions. The role will support the effective implementation and communication of corporate policies, internal controls and management requirements, and will work closely with the Singapore office, Headquarters and relevant overseas operations.
The role will cover a broad range of HR, administrative, corporate governance and management support functions. IT experience in website maintenance and data security will have an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisal, employment contracts, employee records, transfers, secondments, resignations and other employee lifecycle matters.
- Provide HR support on employee relations and employee-related matters, ensuring appropriate handling in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR and personnel records, and coordinate with Finance and other departments on payroll, benefits, insurance and other HR-related matters.
- Act as a key liaison between the Singapore office and headquarters on HR and administrative matters, including the implementation, communication, and dissemination of relevant policies, procedures, and management requirements.
- Support the review, implementation and continuous improvement of HR and administrative processes, procedures and internal controls.
- Coordinate with headquarters on corporate governance matters, including regular reporting, updates relating to directors and key personnel, corporate documentation, filings and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support management on corporate initiatives and other general management matters as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Human Resources, Administration or a comparable corporate management role.
- Experience at Assistant Manager level or above will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of HR processes, Singapore employment practices, statutory requirements and corporate administration.
- Strong organisational, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Mature, responsible and discreet, with the ability to handle confidential personnel and corporate information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HR and administrative systems.
- Good spoken and written English, preference for bilingual (English and Chinese) candidates to liaise with English and Chinese speaking counterparts in the course of work.
- Having IT knowledge will be an advantage.
