Supports an Infrastructure Programme Manager by maintaining risk registers, updating project plans, and ensuring governance alignment for a major works programme in a hybrid role.

Summary of Role – Assistant Infrastructure Programme Manager

The role will support the Infrastructure Programme Manager leading on the management of programme governance and controls.

The role is responsible for the management of the Major Works Programme risk register, including the reviewing scoring, mitigations and risk descriptions. Reporting of these risks to the Risk Management Group and Major Works Programme Review to support the delivery of projects on the programme.

The role is responsible for the development of the next years programme ensuring this is deliverable and captures requirements. The postholder is also responsible for maintaining an oversight and reviewing the 10-year programme on a regular basis to ensure this aligns with programme changes.

TASKS

Key tasks associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities

  • 📋 Oversee and maintain the Infrastructure Programme Risk Register, including monthly updates and reviews

  • ⚡ Manage risks within the Infrastructure Programme Management Team

  • 🗓️ Maintain a live Major Works Programme for DHI and review the 10-year plan for alignment and efficiency

  • 🤝 Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the next year’s programme, ensuring it is deliverable and aligned with HMNB Clyde priorities

  • 🏛️ Work closely with key stakeholders to improve programme governance and controls

Skills / experience required for this role:

  1. MS O365 proficient.
  2. Programme management / governance management experience.
  3. Excellent stakeholder management and engagement at all levels.
  4. Strong presentation and communication skills.
  5. Organised with ability to work on own initiative and be proactive.

Umbrella contractor role 6 mths +

Sole UK Nationals only, SC clearance required to commence role

This role is Hybrid with up to 2 days/week spent on the clients site in Helensburgh
