Job Purpose
The Parts IT Applications unit is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused Team Manager. This leadership role encompasses responsibility for numerous critical applications in the applications in the Procurement, Inventory Planning, and Finance Planning applications business area. This position involves providing delivery and technical leadership and guiding the delivery team to ensure alignment with unit, department, divisional, and AHM business unit objectives. The Team Manager will oversee multiple projects, including business transformation initiatives utilizing modern technology and platforms for the Parts and PS&T Planning division and working with global teams.
• Strategic Leadership: Present IT strategy and updates to Business and IT executives and senior leadership. Collaborate with all levels of business, IT teams, and external partners to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support fast, modern, and cost-effective technology solutions and services.
• Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and supervision for functional and technical team members. Ensure the success of strategic and tactical projects, enhancements, and support, including budget and QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery).
• Project and Support Oversight: Ensure all projects, enhancements, and portfolio support follow IT methodologies. Serve as the initial point of escalation for issues, reporting to the Unit Manager as needed.
• Technical Leadership: The Team Manager will work as a Solutions Architect on multiple projects leading the technical workstream and partner with other Solution Architects, Application Architects and Architecture Review Board(ARB) to obtain architecture approvals. The Team Manager will build vision, technology roadmaps, and other planning artifacts for the Parts applications and PS&T Planning applications.
• Governance and Compliance: Provide governance and oversight for all team activities. Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with enterprise and industry standards, security best practices, data privacy, SOX, and PII regulations. Support internal and external audits.
• Innovation and Improvement: Work with Business Management, vendors, and partners to identify opportunities for business innovation and technology improvements. Develop relationships with customers and partners to ensure business requirements are met.
• Budget Management: Assist and contribute to budgetary processes within the Department and Division. Ensure budgets are adhered to and allocated correctly as per yearly planning.
• Talent Acquisition: Conduct interviews for potential candidates and assist with vendor/third-party agreements.

Key Accountabilities
Vision & Strategy:
Lead the Warehouse Management, Transporation Mangement, and Finance Planning applications IT team to support the Parts business and PS&T Planning business unit with their business application needs.
Work together with Unit Manager to provide input for the direction and vision of AHM IT, the Division, Department and Unit. Contribute ideas and formulate the details on execution of Division, Department and Unit strategy
Communicate direction, vision and strategies of Business and IT to Team.
Develop and maintain a strategic view of Business and technology in business IT planning.
Build and maintain high performing IT teams:
Foster associate development and long-term capability by teaching, coaching and mentoring, integrated with consistent and effective individual performance Management
Ensure Team is motivated, engaged and inspired to achieve goals and objectives.
Achieve the project goals for the Team:
As approved annually, including schedule, budget and quality commitments
Provide consultation to the business and each of your customers (internal and external) meet with business users/management regularly, go to the spot, bring vendor/industry perspectives, offer solutions, suggestions, options, deliver results in a timely manner consistently
Work with Unit, Department and Division Managers to develop, revisit and communicate a vision, roadmap, business and project issues for your area consistent with the IT strategy (Roadmap, Action Trees, Detailed Action Plans)
Encourage innovative thinking (actively promote innovative thinking in meetings and discussions
Make recommendations for continuous improvement of processes and operations (Follow TQM, PDCA processes for improvement opportunities)
Achieve Unit and project budget targets (Meet portfolio support budget. 90% of projects on time and on budget)
Ensure IT assets are in compliance with Governance, Risk and Compliance, PII and other standards and best practices

Provide Technical and Solution Leadership:
Design technical solutions and provide technical architecture oversight. Conduct code review
Provide direction and oversight of design, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models
Perform modelling, gap analysis, and craft architecture artifacts, such as context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and business capability roadmaps
Work with Architecture Review Board to obtain project architecture approvals
Lead the business and technical workstream in critical Parts Apps and PS&T Planning Apps projects. Build vision, technology roadmaps, and other planning artifacts
Promote IT and its capabilities:
Build NA relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility, by discovering and meeting the needs of internal and external customers
Use persuasion and influence to achieve maximum results with Enterprise IT goals.
Learn and understand the business (meet business users on a regular basis, go to the spot, attend conference) and maintain partnership
Develop relationships with the business teams (part of business solution, a go-to person to solve business needs)
Work with Unit, Department and Division Managers to provide learning and innovation opportunities for our customers (collaborate with other IT teams to bring in the right IT resources to meet business needs)
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum education requirement:
At least a Bachelors level degree engineering in a STEM field (e.g. - Compter Science / IT / Management Information Systems / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical etc). Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum work experience:
8+ years in Information Technology/Information Services
5+ years supervisory, resource management, vendor management experience
5+ years experience supporting IT Delivery
5+ year experience managing and delivering large/ multiple projects, platforms, and products
Strong project management skills to manage deadlines while delivering quality results, on time, on budget
Experience managing teams with differing priorities and levels of expertise;
Strong written and presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Working experience with estimation, planning, developing and managing a budget,
People management, team building, coaching, mentoring, development, negotiations, conflict resolution, and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong experience in vendor management, contracts management, SOW, RFP & RFQ process
In-depth knowledge of applicable SOX, PII, data privacy practices, security, and goverance
Proficient with PowerPoint, MS Excel, Word, and Microsoft Visio
Experience leading large scale transformational and modernization intitatives.
Experience leading multiple software development and implementation teams (Mainframe, WMS, Blue Yonder, etc)
Experience managing IT projects in Automotive industry is a plus.
Experience in designing solutions and providing technical architecture oversight
Experience as a leader for solution and business architecture, provide direction and oversight of design, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models.
Experience in performing modeling, gap analysis, and crafting architecture artifacts, such as context diagrams, data flow diagrams, business capability roadmaps.
Experience in working with Architecture Review Board.
Experience in leading the technical workstream for critical projects
Experience in building 5-year visions and 3-year technology roadmaps and other planning artifacts.
Experience with executing projects using Waterfall and Agile processes.
Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches (e.g. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM)
Budget, cost, and profitability management skills
Knowledge of resource management tools
Credibility as a senior-level project leader
Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture.
