Assistant IT Project Manager

We are looking for an Assistant IT Project Manager to support the delivery of IT, digital transformation and AI-related projects.

You will work closely with project managers, technical teams, vendors, clients and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities, track progress and support project delivery. This role is suitable for candidates with solid IT project experience who are also interested in developing practical exposure to AI and emerging technologies. Prior AI project experience is not required, but you should be comfortable learning and using AI tools as part of your daily work.

Responsibilities

· Assisting in planning, coordinating and delivering IT and AI-related projects

· Coordinating with clients, internal stakeholders, users, technical teams and vendors on project activities

· Gathering and documenting business and project requirements

· Maintaining project schedules, meeting minutes, status reports and other project documentation

· Tracking project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues and action items

· Following up on project tasks and agreed actions to support timely delivery

· Supporting UAT, implementation and system rollout activities

· Assisting with project meetings, client communication and stakeholder updates

· Working with technical teams on AI-related use cases, POCs and solution implementation

· Using AI tools to support research, documentation, analysis and day-to-day project work

Requirements

· Degree or Higher Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field

· At least 2 years of experience in IT projects

· Experience in project coordination, business analysis, system implementation, software projects or related roles

· Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum project environments

· Good understanding of the IT project lifecycle

· Strong organisational, coordination and communication skills

· Comfortable working with technical teams and discussing system requirements

· Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs or AI applications

· Willingness and ability to learn and use AI tools in daily work

· Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Nice to Have

· Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or similar

· Exposure to AI, automation or digital transformation projects

· Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Teams or similar tools

· Experience in client-facing IT projects
