Assistant Laboratory Manager
Bio-Gene Diagnostic Laboratory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Candidate for the position of Assistant Laboratory Manager or the day-to-day operations of our network of laboratories, including supervising staff, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating the efficient execution of laboratory procedures, all while upholding quality standards and proper handling of test samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision: Hiring, training, and evaluating laboratory technicians and assistants, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper performance.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing laboratory safety protocols, maintaining proper handling of hazardous materials, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Procedure Development: Designing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory operations and experiments.
- Equipment Maintenance: Scheduling regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Data Analysis: Reviewing and interpreting laboratory data, identifying potential issues, and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Compliance Oversight: Staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring the laboratory adheres to all necessary compliance standards.
Requirements
Successful Candidate must have Must have: At Least 8-9 years experience in a Medical Laboratory supervisory or Management position, a strong understanding of QMS principles and laboratory techniques, and is skilled in managing staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining a safe working environment, Must be able to take initiative for both assigned and unassigned tasks.
