Little Jays Infant & Toddler Child Care is a year-around program that will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where little ones ages 6 weeks-36 months can learn, grow, and thrive!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Lead at Little Jays Child Care supports the Lead in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position assists with daily classroom activities, supervision, and caregiving routines while helping promote the social, emotional, and developmental growth of each child.

The Assistant Lead works collaboratively with classroom staff to create a positive, responsive, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the qualifications required by the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families for an Assistant Lead position. Qualifying education and experience may include one of the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2,080 hours of experience as an aide and 12 quarter credits in the required field; or
• Minnesota license as a family child care provider and 2,080 hours of experience as a family child care provider and 12 quarter credits in the required field; or
• Diploma from the Association Montessori Internationale and 520 hours of experience as an aide or student intern and 3 quarter credits in the required field; or
• Minnesota technical institute certificate as a Child Development Assistant and 520 hours of experience as an aide; or
• Bachelor's degree in any field and 9 quarter credits in the required field; or
• A prekindergarten associate license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Qualifications are subject to applicable Minnesota child care licensing requirements.

SALARY

• Salary range based on education, experience, and qualifications: $14-$16 per hour
