Position: Mechanical Engineer – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Role Purpose

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering, integration, installation, and commissioning support of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of energy storage solutions for renewable energy applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for BESS projects from design through commissioning.
• Review and optimize container, enclosure, HVAC, thermal management, and fire protection system designs.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, procurement, and project execution teams.
• Support vendor evaluation, technical bid review, FAT/SAT, and quality inspections.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Support site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Prepare engineering documentation, technical specifications, and project reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in BESS, renewable energy, solar, power systems, EPC, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, thermal management, fire suppression systems, and mechanical integration.
• Experience in project execution, commissioning, and vendor management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
