ASSISTANT MANAGER, CORPROATE STRATEGY & PLANNING
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Assistant Manager, Corporate Strategy & Planning to support the Corporate Strategy & Planning function. This role is responsible for conducting business analysis, strategic planning support, competitiveness assessments, and feasibility studies to facilitate management decision-making and drive business performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional departments and Head Office to support corporate initiatives and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of corporate strategy and business planning initiatives.
- Conduct business, market and competitiveness analysis, including benchmarking against industry and regional competitors.
- Perform cost and profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare feasibility studies and business case evaluations for new products, projects and business opportunities.
- Consolidate and analyse business and operational data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Prepare management reports, business performance analysis and presentations for senior management and Head Office.
- Coordinate and monitor corporate planning activities, ensuring timely follow-up on strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with Finance, Marketing, Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Production and other stakeholders to gather and analyse business information.
- Support ad hoc strategic projects and assignments as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Planning, Business Planning, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Business Analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and business data.
- Experience in business performance analysis, cost analysis, feasibility studies and management reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- This role requires regular communication with Korean-speaking stakeholders and handling of documents in Korean. Therefore, proficiency in Korean is required to perform the job effectively.
- Experience in the engineering, offshore & marine, EPC or industrial sectors will be an advantage.
