ASSISTANT MANAGER - CREDIT ADMINISTRATION & MONITORING

Job Purpose
To manage and oversee credit administration and monitoring activities, ensuring accurate facility booking, ongoing portfolio monitoring, compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and proper maintenance of security documentation for all approved credit facilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and submit periodic credit administration and portfolio reports.

· Monitor excesses, areas, expired facilities, contingent liabilities, and non-performing accounts.

· Track loan portfolio quality, sector and currency exposure, large exposures, and related risk indicators.

· Prepare management information and reports required by senior management, risk committees, and regulators.

· Submit credit information and statutory returns to the Credit Reference Bureau and regulatory authorities.

· Maintain credit facilities within banking systems, including limit setup, renewals, amendments, and account closures.

· Ensure timely accrual, collection, and monitoring of fees, commissions, insurance premiums, and related charges.

· Coordinate perfection, custody, verification, and safe storage of security documentation.

· Maintain complete and accurate collateral records, securities registers, and insurance records.

· Support issuance of guarantees, letters of credit, and other credit-related instruments.

· Assist with audits, regulatory reviews, and implementation of corrective actions.

· Undertake additional credit administration duties assigned by management.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

· Provide accurate and timely information to management and internal stakeholders.

· Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Audit teams to ensure effective credit administration.



Requirements

Key Competencies

· Strong understanding of credit administration, collateral management, and banking operations.

· High attention to detail and analytical capability.

· Excellent reporting, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

· Sound knowledge of regulatory and internal credit governance requirements.


Requirements
  • 3 to 5+ years of practical experience in credit administration, collateral management, credit risk monitoring, or core banking operations.
  • Bachelors Degree/Masters in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Financial Risk Management or related fields
