Assistant Manager- Day Habilitation
Ohel is seeking a reliable, personable individual who has the ability to multi-task to fill the Assistant Manager in our exciting Day Habilitation Program in the Five Towns. In this role you will create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every individual can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the direct supervisor to develop volunteer and skill-building opportunities that foster independence, enhance personal growth, and support individual goals.
- Assist in the day-to-day functioning of a Day Habilitation Program, including arranging transportation
- Maintain and organize program supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are available and appropriately stocked to support planned activities and needs
- Provide support to staff and individuals as needed, including implementing positive behavior strategies that promote safety
- Train, mentor, and supervise program staff
- Build positive relationships with families and collaborating programs
- Lead engaging activities that foster independent living skills
- Accompany participants to volunteer sites and community activities
- Review documentation and ensure timely follow-up
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid NY or NJ driver's license with the ability to drive a 15-passenger van strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment

This full time position is located in the Five Towns.
Salary: $50,000- $55,000
