We are seeking an experienced professional to join MashreqBank's - Derivative Operations team as an Assistant Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the derivative trade validation process for OTC derivative products, overseeing settlements through the trade life cycle, ensuring adherence to Islamic product guidelines and clearing of OTC and F&O transactions. Your expertise in core derivative instruments and various asset classes will be instrumental in maintaining the bank's high standards and in enabling process efficiency.
- Manage and validate derivative trades for OTC derivative products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee the settlement process for derivative products, monitoring and managing trade lifecycles.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of core derivative instruments and various asset classes, including equity, FX, interest rates, and commodities.
- Create and review derivative confirmation documents and SWIFT messages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with Islamic product workflow and documentation guidelines, maintaining the bank's commitment to ethical practices.
- Handle F&O (Futures & Options) clearing activities, including trade execution and settlement.
- Manage OTC derivative clearing-related activities, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and analyze market data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for the bank's derivative portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Treasury Operations team to develop and implement efficient processes for derivative operations.
- Provide support and guidance to the team, ensuring a high level of performance and adherence to best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in derivative operations, with a strong understanding of OTC derivative products.
- In-depth knowledge of core derivative instruments and their applications across various asset classes.
- Experience in trade validation, settlement, and confirmation processes for derivative products.
- Familiarity with Islamic finance principles and the ability to apply them to derivative operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems, including trade validation and settlement platforms.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
