Job Responsibilities
Understand innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Understand kitchen operations menu Recipes Costing and selling Price.
Manage yields involved in taste panel and food cost controls.
Conduct regular checks on food recipes preparation regulations.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Culinary Arts degree or equivalent.
- Food Handler’s Certificate.
- SERV Safe Certification (or equivalent food safety certification).
- Any additional relevant certifications in specialized cuisines or dietary needs.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
- Proven history of creating successful menus and managing kitchen operations.
Other Prerequisites
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Understanding how to use Excel & Windows applications to create, save and organize recipe files to folders.
- Be clear on Ariba functionality
- Become EATEC Super User and Trainer to culinary Team
- Exceptional knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Proficiency using more than one language.
- Experience overseeing budgets and expenses.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Passion for food and commitment to high-quality standards.
