Assistant Manager-Electrical
1. To work on conceptual design, basic design, and detailed
engineering of industrial projects in electricals and instrumentation.
2. To work on power load calculations based on
equipment loads related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC),
process equipment, utility equipment, lighting, etc.
3. To work on basic electrical schemes starting with the
transformer up to the point of use and represent the same in a Single Line
Diagram (SLD).
4. To perform equipment sizing and selection related
to electrical systems based on load sheets and SLDs, including transformer
sizing, Diesel Generator (DG) set sizing, busbar sizing, and panel sizing.
5. To prepare detailed control and power panel SLDs as
per schemes agreed upon with the client and Project Management Department.
6. To prepare cable schedules and determine switchgear
ratings based on voltage drop calculations.
7. To perform lighting calculations based on lux
levels and working environment requirements.
8. To work on DIALux software.
9. To work on lightning arrestor design and earthing
design, including routing, grids, and pits.
10. To work on cable tray sizing based on cable routing
and cable loads.
11. To work on instrumentation systems related to Supervisory
Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Building Management System (BMS),
operation of utilities, and HVAC systems.
12. To organise the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) along with proper
backup costing and quotations from vendors for all components.
13. To prepare technical specifications and data sheets
for all electrical components and equipment typically used in industrial
projects.
14. To check and approve Remote Control Panel (RCP),
switch socket locations, and light switch locations on layouts.
15. To complete all technical documentation needed for procurement,
delivery, and installation of components at the site, like design data, technical
specifications, design qualification, construction drawings, typical drawings, etc.,
involving vendor coordination.
16. To coordinate with the Project Management
Department on various site-related issues, troubleshoot them, and provide technical
solutions within reasonable timelines along with proper documentation.
17. To maintain timelines for work allotted as per
schedules set by Project Management Department and the client.

2. Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to work on
it when required.
3. Familiarity with National Electrical Manufacturers
Association (NEMA) standards and other guidelines related to electrical
engineering and design.
4. Deep understanding of low and medium voltage
(LV/MV) systems and load calculations.
5. Good knowledge of safety codes and regulatory
standards.
6. Understanding of industrial project execution,
coordination, and site installation practices.
Preferred
Knowledge:
1. Preferably visited project sites at different
stages for monitoring project progress.
2. Preferably worked on pharmaceutical engineering
projects.
