Job Title:	Assistant Manager - Fabrication	Function:	Production
Job Holder:	-	Location:	Taloja, Navi Mumbai

Reports to:	Manager – Production	Reportees:	Shop Floor employees

Position Summary:

The person is responsible for providing supervision and ensure that the desired output is achieved by the team by coaching them and mentoring them.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for daily Production Activities as per the schedule given.
Requisition of Material on day-to-day basis
Fabrication, Machining and Assembly work
Supervision of material while loading and unloading.
Ensuring optimal use of equipment’s, Material, Accessories and Consumables
Supervision and control of Manpower on the shop floor
Intimation to Stores/PPC for indenting of Material required on shop floor.
Responsible for maintaining daily Production Ledger, Job Card, Material Issue register and Consumable issue register.
Will be responsible for maintaining safety environment inside plant / on shop floor.

Person Specifications:

PROFILE:

	Must have
Qualifications:	ITI – Fitter or Diploma/ B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:	· If ITI fitter 10 to 15 years, if Diploma// B.E/B.Tech then 9 to 12 years. where fabrication processes are involved, preferably in the Crane Manufacturing or Engineering Industry. · Where at least 5 years’ experience in supervisory role in Heavy Fabrication shop.
Competencies:-	Functional	Behavioral
· Systematic follow up skills. · Strong Problem identification skills. · Awareness on QMS · Inventory Management · API 2C · Engineering Standards as Applicable · Knowledge of tools, equipment’s and materials related to crane manufacturing. · Estimation skills · Exposure to FCAW welding process and heavy fabrication work. · Exposure to welding code D1.1 · Drawing reading abilities.	· Business Etiquettes · Building High Performance Teams · Assertiveness
Special Requirements:	Proficiency in the use of common software packages including Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Power Point. Working Knowledge of ERP Software is good to have.
