Assistant Manager - Fairless Hills

Big Blue Swim School in Fairless Hills is hiring a full-time Assistant Manager to run our pool deck and lead a team of 10 to 20 swim instructors. If you've worked as a shift lead, supervisor, or assistant manager in retail, restaurants, hospitality, fitness, childcare, or camps, and you enjoy working with kids and families, this is your next step. You'll work side by side with our General Manager, learn how the whole school runs, and have a real path to General Manager as we open new locations. No aquatics background is required. We provide full paid training.

Leading the team. As Assistant Manager, you'll run the shift: planning class coverage, managing transitions between lessons, and keeping every class starting on time. You'll coach each swim instructor in a monthly one-on-one, train new instructors to Big Blue teaching standards, and lead bi-weekly team trainings on safety, teaching technique, and customer service.

Taking care of families. You'll greet parents on deck, keep them updated on their swimmer's progress, and be the go-to person when a family has a question or concern. You'll also help the front desk turn trial lessons into weekly enrollments.

Running the facility. You'll keep the pool, deck, and lobby clean and welcoming, oversee water quality, pump room operations, and routine pool maintenance (we'll teach you how), and make sure every team member follows safety procedures and keeps their certifications current.

Who we're looking for. You have supervisory, team lead, or management experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting. You genuinely enjoy working with kids and their parents, you communicate clearly and warmly, and you stay calm and solve problems on the spot when things get busy. You don't need any swim, lifeguard, or pool experience. We'll train you on all of it.

Schedule. This is a full-time role built around when families swim: weekday afternoons and evenings (we're open until 8 PM) plus weekend mornings. If you need weekends off, this role isn't the right fit.

What we offer. Pay is $20 to $24 per hour based on experience, plus a bonus opportunity. Our instructors complete 100+ hours of Big Blue training before teaching their first lesson, and you'll learn the same program, with lessons Built by Olympians. Most of all, it's work that matters: helping kids become safer, more confident swimmers.

The environment. Most of your shift is on a warm (90°), humid indoor pool deck, so dress for it. Expect wet conditions, exposure to pool chemicals, occasional light lifting of pool equipment, and a lively, sometimes loud deck full of excited swimmers.

Where you'll work. Our school is at 524 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills, an easy commute from Langhorne, Yardley, Newtown, Bensalem, and Northeast Philadelphia.
