Assistant Manager, Finance (Fixed Asset) (up $5200) - 1 yr!

Job Summary

As Assistant Manager in Finance, you will lead Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions to ensure timely vendor payments, accurate asset management, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Process invoices promptly and accurately according to service level agreements
• Verify expense claims for compliance, proper documentation, and approval by relevant authorities
• Liaise with divisions or claimants to resolve discrepancies in invoices or claims
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and audit schedule preparation
• Lead finance projects focused on automation and operational enhancements to improve efficiency
• Manage fixed assets and operating lease accounting, including asset capitalization and disposals
• Conduct periodic fixed asset verification and reconcile asset records
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related issues and perform additional assigned duties

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy with approximately 3 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with Workday financial systems and proficiency in data analytics tools
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive working attitude and ability to collaborate effectively as a team player
