Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Financial Settlement to oversee daily settlement operations and ensure the accurate and timely settlement of transactions across various banking products. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting audit readiness, managing settlement-related risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient financial settlement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end daily settlement activities across banking products and channels.
- Ensure all settlements are processed accurately and within established timelines and SOPs.
- Monitor settlement activities and escalate exceptions or issues in accordance with defined procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial, operational, and regulatory requirements to mitigate penalties and financial losses.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with settlement processes.
- Provide accurate and timely information and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare management reports and maintain settlement records for compliance and operational monitoring.
- Support internal and external audits and assist in implementing corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to enhance settlement efficiency and process effectiveness.
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of banking experience, preferably in financial settlement, payments, reconciliations, operations, or related banking functions.
- Experience in transaction processing, operational controls, and settlement management will be preferred.
Educational Background Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
