Objective
- The
Assistant Manager/Manager, Talent Management will be responsible for
driving talent strategies across the Furniture & Interior Industries.
This role requires expertise in talent management, acquisition, and
learning & development to support FFSC’s mission. The ideal candidate
will also have experience in preparing Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align employee performance with
organizational goals and organize placement and apprenticeship drives.

Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Student
Mobilization & Institutional Engagement:
- Mobilization
Planning and Execution: Plan and implement mobilization activities for FFSC training, apprenticeship,
placement, and other skill-development programs to achieve assigned candidate-enrolment targets.
- Counseling
and Career Guidance: Conduct individual and group Counseling
sessions to guide students on suitable training programs, career
pathways, job roles, apprenticeship opportunities, and employment
prospects in the Furniture & Interior Industries.
- College
and School Onboarding: Identify, approach, and onboard colleges,
schools, ITIs, polytechnics, and other educational institutions for FFSC
programs, institutional collaborations, and student-engagement
initiatives.
- Orientation and Engagement Activities: Plan and conduct institutional orientations,
career-awareness sessions, workshops, competitions, and other activities to
build student participation and maintain continued engagement with onboarded
institutions.
- Industry
Exposure & Student Development:
- Industry
Visits: Plan and coordinate industry visits to provide students with
practical exposure to furniture manufacturing units, interior project
sites, design studios, workshops, showrooms, and allied establishments.
- Guest
Lectures: Engage industry professionals and subject-matter experts
to conduct guest lectures, demonstrations, mentoring sessions, and
career interactions aligned with program requirements.
- On-the-Job
Training Coordination: Identify suitable establishments and
coordinate OJT opportunities, student deployment, attendance, employer
feedback, documentation, and completion tracking.
- Soft
Skills Development: Organize sessions on communication, teamwork,
workplace behavior, professional etiquette, adaptability, and other
employability skills required by the industry.
- Pre-Placement
Preparation: Coordinate resume-building, mock interviews, group
discussions, interview-readiness sessions, and employer-specific
orientations to prepare students for placement and apprenticeship
opportunities.
- Placement,
Apprenticeship & Centre Outreach:
- Placement
Drives: Identify employment opportunities and plan, organize, and
execute placement drives by coordinating employer requirements,
candidate shortlisting, interviews, selections, joining, and
post-placement follow-up.
- Apprenticeship
Coordination and Tracking: Coordinate apprenticeship opportunities,
candidate and establishment onboarding, contract generation,
documentation, attendance, stipend, progress, completion, and employment
transition tracking.
- Market
Outreach and Opportunity Identification: Build relationships with
industry establishments, educational institutions, associations, and
other stakeholders to identify opportunities for workshops, training
programs, industry engagement, apprenticeship, and placement.
- Workshop
and Customized Training Pitching: Promote FFSC centers in the market
and pitch industry-relevant workshops and customized training programs
by understanding stakeholder requirements and coordinating proposals,
delivery, feedback, and program closure.
- Internal
& External Interfaces:
- Internal: Collaborate with FFSC
leadership, department managers.
- External: Engage with external
consultants, educational institutions, and member organizations within
the Furniture & Interior Industries.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Talent
Management: Industry retention rates, leadership pipeline strength, and employee
engagement scores.
- Talent
Acquisition: Time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality of hires, and diversity of the
talent pool across member organizations.
- Placement
and Apprenticeship Drives: Number and quality of placements and apprenticeships
secured, employer and candidate satisfaction.
- Learning
& Development: Training effectiveness, employee participation in L&D
programs, and post-training performance improvement across the industry.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development,
or a related field.
- Work
Experience:
- For
Assistant Manager: 2-4 years of experience in talent management, talent
acquisition, or learning and development, preferably in the Furniture
& Interior Industries or similar sectors.
- For
Manager: 4-6 years of experience with demonstrated leadership in managing
HR strategies, talent acquisition, and L&D programs across
industries.
- Experience
in preparing KRAs and KPIs to ensure alignment of employee performance
with organizational goals.
- Experience in organizing placement and
apprenticeship drives is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong
understanding of HR best practices, talent management, and L&D
principles.
- Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

systems (LMS).
- Knowledge
