Assistant Manager, Group Finance

Job Summary

Support the Group CFO and Senior Manager, Group Finance in overseeing the Group's financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, risk management, and compliance activities. The role will work closely with Finance Directors across regional subsidiaries to provide financial analysis, ensure timely reporting, and support strategic business initiatives, including M&A activities and process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Group CFO and Senior Manager, Group Finance in preparing monthly group consolidation accounts and ensure timely completion within the reporting deadlines.
• Analyze monthly group financial performance and work closely with Finance Directors across subsidiaries to review and understand key business and financial drivers.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial monitoring reports and performance trackers for the holding company.
• Prepare management reports, financial presentations, and board papers for monthly management meetings and quarterly Board meetings.
• Review subsidiaries' monthly financial results and collaborate with Finance Directors to provide meaningful financial analysis and insights.
• Maintain the accounting records of the ultimate holding company and two intermediate holding companies, which have minimal transaction volumes.
• Prepare and monitor the Group's cash flow position and cash flow forecasts to support effective treasury management.
• Assist in monitoring Group borrowings and ensuring compliance with bank loan covenants and financing requirements.
• Participate in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration support, where required.
• Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting exercises across the Group.
• Assist the Group CFO and Senior Manager, Group Finance in monitoring and managing the Group's financial and operational risks.
• Coordinate and support the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audited consolidated financial statements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing financial processes, strengthening controls, and assisting in troubleshooting operational or financial issues.
• Travel to overseas subsidiaries as required to support financial reviews, audits, projects, and business initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or relevant experience in group finance.
• Experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of treasury, risk management, compliance, and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across regional teams.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting M&A or finance transformation projects will be an advantage.
