Assistant Manager Hygiene
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained across all food production and service areas.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP and other applicable food safety requirements.
- Monitor food handling, storage, temperature control, personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular hygiene training and awareness sessions for Heartists.
- Maintain all hygiene-related records, checklists, reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments on hygiene-related matters.
- Monitor pest control activities and ensure timely corrective action.
- Support internal and external hygiene audits and inspections.
- Identify hygiene risks and ensure appropriate corrective measures are implemented.
- Investigate food safety and hygiene-related complaints or incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation schedules are followed effectively.
- Monitor hygiene standards in food storage areas, kitchens, restaurants and other relevant operational areas.
- Keep updated with applicable food safety regulations and communicate relevant requirements to concerned departments.
- Support the implementation of hygiene improvement initiatives across the hotel.
- Prepare and submit hygiene reports and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Ensure consistent follow-up on observations and close corrective actions within the agreed timelines.
- Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Safety, Hotel Management or a related field.
- Relevant experience in hotel hygiene, food safety, quality assurance or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of FSSAI and HACCP standards.
- Experience in conducting hygiene audits, inspections and training would be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
