Assistant Manager (ICT)
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud solutions.
Monitor system performance and availability to ensure operational continuity.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Support the management of enterprise applications and ensure system documentation is up to date.
Support the enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
Assist in monitoring cybersecurity risks, incidents, and system vulnerabilities.
Help conduct regular security audits, patch reviews, and compliance assessments.
Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among staff.
Oversee day‑to‑day ICT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
Supervise the helpdesk function, track service performance, and implement service improvement measures.
Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related requests.
Develop and maintain IT knowledge‑base and user guides.
Assist in supervising ICT support staff, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members to enhance technical skills and service standards.
Support the ICT Manager in workforce planning and competency development.
Participate in planning and coordination of ICT and digital transformation projects.
Assist in evaluating technology solutions and preparing project documentation.
Collaborate with business units to support technology adoption and process improvements.
Track project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
Training and Skill Improvement, including attending Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
Manage operational matters (such as balancing staff leave, claims approval and appraisal setting) timely
Provide timely reports on assigned tasks / projects, and give prompt advance notice for leave applications
Job Requirements
Diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field, with 6-8 years of relevant experience in ICT operations, infrastructure, and systems support.
Strong technical skills in networks, servers, cybersecurity principles, and IT service management are essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Professional certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA are advantageous.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to service excellence and cybersecurity best practices.
