An Assistant Manager is a leader in their restaurant with a passion for ensuring daily operation excellence by creating a memorable Guest experience and helping their teams learn and grow. Assistant Managers support their Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by investing their time in developing future leaders, upholding brand standards, and assisting the RGM with essential duties. Assistant Managers ensure that Team Members deliver food to guests that is cooked to perfection, made with love, and served up with Popeyes® famous Cajun Hospitality.
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the General Manager - keeping the restaurant running smoothly, supporting your team, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities include:
- Profitability
- Manage inventory costs through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
- Place and receive truck orders with precision
- Maintain a detailed list of restaurant assets
- Oversee preventative maintenance and vendor coordination
- Ensure compliance with cash control and security procedures
- People
- Coach and develop Shift Coordinators and Team Members
- Support ongoing training and team development
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and positivity
- De-escalate any situation with guests or employees
- Guest Experience
- Motivate team members to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Ensure a clean, welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations
- Operations
- Lead efficient food prep and product delivery within service speed guidelines
- Uphold brand and operational standards across all shifts
- Step into Hourly Shift Coordinator duties when needed
- Monitor business metrics, including sales, labor, and food costs
- Create and execute action plans to improve performance
