Assistant Manager/Manager (Innovation & Systems Section)
[What the role is]
In the Vector Control Policy Department (VCPD), you will join a team that explores and pilots technologies, including AI and data-driven solutions, to strengthen public health operations in areas such as vector control, sanitation and public cleanliness. This is an entry-level role suitable for candidates keen to apply technology to real-world operational challenges.You will work with internal stakeholders, institutions of higher learning and external vendors to translate operational needs into practical solutions. This includes exploring suitable existing and emerging technologies, developing and conducting trials, analysing results, and refining solutions for operational use. Through this work, you will contribute to how technology can transform frontline public health operations in Singapore.

[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
- Identify operational challenges that could be addressed through technology or process improvements
- Research, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, including AI solutions, for public health operations
- Translate operational needs into problem statements and trial plans
- Plan and deliver trials, including funding, procurement and stakeholder coordination
- Conduct proof-of-concept studies and gather user feedback
- Document lessons learnt and analyse trial data
- Support technology-related enquiries and troubleshooting
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Undertake other duties as assigned

- Proficiency in common productivity and presentation tools
- Exposure through school projects, internships, personal projects or any past work experience involving technology, data analytics or research
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- A strong team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- A positive, responsible and resourceful attitude, with willingness to take initiative while seeking guidance when needed
- An organised approach and attention to detail
