Assistant Manager, Material Planning (Apparel & Gear)

• Drive vendor management of supply planning, delivery execution and corporate initiatives at a vendor level.
• Vendor management and collaborate with the Material team to review strategies.
• Monitor vendor’s capacity planning with greige commitment report, buy ready activity to make on-time delivery and collaborate with Quality Specialist while issue happened.
• Work with Supply chain to create and maintain efficient materials capacity planning tools.
• Monitor material bulk production lead-time to meet with established lead-time and provides analytical data to support lead-time reduction and increase profitability.
• Establish relevant production metrics and provide regular evaluations of vendor’s performance. Act as liaison for resolution of production issues related to both delivery and quality.
• Responsible for establishing and ensuring delivery tracking tools and all material information is accurate and updated within established seasonal time-lines.
• Identify discrepancies, facilitate issue resolution, offer solutions and develop strategies for process improvements.
• Responsible for successful execution of seasonal SMS prebook to meet established timelines. Continue to improve sample process excellence including reports, systems etc.
• Establish and maintain a strong relationship with vendors under this position’s jurisdiction.
• Responsible for coordinating and participating in regular Vendor Performance reviews. Using available detailed performance tools, work with relevant Material team to establish continuous Improvement Plans for each major vendor, monitoring that measurable improvements are made within reasonable timeframes.
• Manage, train and coach direct reports on day-to-day operations.

Responsible Sourcing/ Purchasing (RPP):

o by working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and responsible purchasing training/capacity building (at least annually)
o by adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
