Assistant Manager - Network

Salary: RM 5,400 – RM 8,000 per month

Fields of Experience

· Proven working experience in managing, deploying and configuring SDWAN, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points.

· Experience with Cisco Router and Switches

· Experience with Fortigate Firewall

· Experience with Barracuda Web Application Firewall

· Familiar with Data connectivity types including but not limited to Metro-E, IPME, DCI, DOME and IP Sec.

· Familiar with TACACS deployment and solution

· Familiar with Network Monitoring and Management solution such as Auvik, Solarwinds, Dynatrace or Nagios

Below are experiences which would be a plus and an added advantage:

· Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP or Window Server Update Services (WSUS).

· Experience in Windows / Linux server administration.

· Experience in Virtual Environments, e.g. VMware, Huawei Openstack, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Hyper-V

· Prior experience or interest in Customer Experience, Application, Digital, ICT, Security and Network Infrastructure.

· Knowledge in BPO/GBS industry.

Area of Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining networks and security devices and solutions including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points.

1. Oversee the troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system incidents and service requests, including replacing faulty network hardware components when required.

1. Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments or improvements needs to be made, with the aim to maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting

1. Liaising with end users and vendors/principals on network and security implementation, requirements and maintenance support.

1. Designing and implementing new network and security solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.

1. Defining network policies, procedures, and maintaining documentation, which is to be used to ensure proper governance and standards.

1. Able to working independently and collaborating closely in a team to deliver high-quality products and solution either by self-development or by software integrations.

1. Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when software upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing software vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.

1. Liaise with service owners and senior IT leaders to identify gaps and opportunities within existing network and cyber security platform or the need to refresh solutions.

1. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire network and cyber security lifecyle.

1. To have a practical mind for problem solving, and ability to see the “big picture” to cultivate improvement.
