Assistant Manager - Office of the Dean of Humanities and Social Science

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
- Manage the School’s office and lab space
- Ensure the School’s construction work and other minor works are performed properly, including: liaising with all internal and external stakeholders, drafting construction schedules and layout solutions, monitoring the progress, etc.
- Providing administrative support to the School’s activities and projects, esp. congregation, conferences, student activities
- Assist in providing secretarial support to the School ExCo / School Board meeting and other related working groups and/or committees;
- Render end-to-end administrative support to research/ academic/ co-curricular projects by preparing project deliverables and compiling the progress report in accordance with the project scope and timeline;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the School Dean or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Assistant Manager post should have a recognized degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Applicants should also:
- have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
- have sound administrative, interpersonal and communication skills;
- have good computer literacy;
- be reliable, well-organized, a good team player; and
- be proactive in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
