Assistant Manager - Operational Risk & Resilience
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Operational Resilience team.
This role supports the delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of the firm’s Operational Resilience Program and associated Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). The Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering defined workstreams, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the development and embedding of operational resilience capabilities across the firm.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Deliver assigned operational resilience initiatives and support implementation of frameworks, policies, and plans.
- Conduct and support Business Impact Analysis (BIA), resilience reviews, and risk assessments.
- Capture, maintain, and ensure accuracy of operational resilience data, records, and outputs within approved platforms and tools.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and review of business continuity, crisis management, and other response plans.
- Engage with stakeholders to coordinate resilience activities and gather required inputs.
- Support and participate in exercises, training, and awareness activities, including post-exercise reporting.
- Provide support during incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews and tracking of improvement actions.
- Prepare reports and updates for governance forums and support audit and assurance activities, including remediation tracking.
- Coordinate meetings, working groups, and maintain program documentation and records.
- Contribute to performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to overall team delivery.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in operational resilience, business continuity, risk management, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting program delivery, stakeholder coordination, or resilience activities such as BIA, planning, or exercises.
Core Capabilities:
- Operational Resilience Knowledge: Understanding of business continuity and resilience frameworks (e.g. ISO 22301 principles).
- Delivery and Execution: Ability to independently manage tasks and deliver workstreams end-to-end.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Confident working with a range of stakeholders and facilitating collaboration.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify risks, and propose practical improvements.
- Communication Skills: Clear and structured written and verbal communication.
- Organisation and Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in business, risk management, or a related field
- Professional certifications (e.g. BCI, ISO-related) desirable.
