ASSISTANT MANAGER - PRODUCT & COMPONENT COSTING Company: Jayem Automotives Private Ltd Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 5 - 10 years Salary: 12L15L a year Assistant Manager Product & Component Costing Industry: Automotive OEM / Tier-1 / Tier-2 / EV Manufacturing Experience: 5-10 Years Qualification: BE / B.Tech Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Industrial Engineering Key Responsibilities Prepare component cost estimates from drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing processes. Develop should-cost models and clean-sheet costing for fabricated, machined, stamped, cast, forged, plastic, and EV components. Create complete product cost roll-ups including BOM, raw materials, bought-out parts, conversion costs, overheads, depreciation, warranty provisions, and profitability analysis. Validate supplier quotations through cost benchmarking and cost-gap analysis. Estimate tooling, NRE, dies, molds, fixtures, amortization, packing, freight, and landed costs. Lead VA/VE, design-to-cost, localization, material substitution, and make-vs-buy analysis to achieve cost reduction targets. Support supplier negotiations using fact-based cost models and commercial analysis. Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, PPC, and Finance teams during RFQ and new product development stages.
