Job responsibilities :

  • Production Planning & Scheduling – Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, order priorities, capacity, and material availability.
  • Plan vs. Actual Monitoring – Monitor production performance against the plan, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to achieve production and delivery targets.
  • Capacity Planning & Optimization – Analyze machine, manpower, and process capacity; identify bottlenecks and optimize production loading and resource utilization.
  • Material Availability – Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and consumables and prevent production stoppages.
  • ERP/MRP Management – Ensure accurate production planning, MRP, work orders, BOMs, inventory data, and planning parameters in SAP/ERP systems.
  • Inventory & WIP Control – Maintain optimum levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods while minimizing excess inventory, shortages, and obsolete stock.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination – Closely coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, Sales, and Logistics to resolve operational issues and meet customer commitments.
  • Delivery & Schedule Adherence – Drive schedule adherence and on-time delivery by prioritizing critical orders, monitoring bottlenecks, and proactively managing production risks.
  • MIS & KPI Analysis – Prepare and analyze production planning reports covering Plan vs. Actual, OEE, capacity utilization, schedule adherence, WIP, inventory, and OTIF performance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership – Lead initiatives for productivity improvement, lead-time reduction, changeover optimization, inventory reduction, and Lean/Kaizen practices while effectively managing the planning team.

Qualifications:

  • B.E / BTech with 7 to 9 years of experience in Production Planning .
