Assistant Manager, QAQC (Building Project)

Our client is in construction industry (Grade A1 Contractor/ Class 1 General Builder) and they provide full suite of integrated construction services and solutions in both the public and private sectors.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

  • Documentation and Planning: Assisting in the preparation, submission, and control of project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and other quality documentation for client/consultant approval.
  • Site Inspections and Testing: Coordinating, monitoring, and conducting regular site inspections and quality checks on structural, architectural, and M&E works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA's Good Industry Practice, CONQUAS standards).
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or works, issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to subcontractors, and following up to ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Audits and Compliance: Performing internal and external quality audits and ensuring the project's Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Acting as a key liaison for quality-related matters with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities like the BCA.
  • Material Control: Monitoring and conducting verification of purchased materials and products, as well as managing the calibration of inspection and test equipment.
  • Reporting and Training: Preparing monthly QAQC reports for management review and conducting quality training sessions for on-site staff and subcontractors.
