Assistant Manager, Regulatory Operations

Responsibilities

The Regulatory Operations Assistant Manager – Customer Funds Management is responsible for supporting compliance with global regulatory requirements related to the safeguarding and reporting of customer funds across multiple jurisdictions. This role works closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, and IT teams to interpret evolving regulations, execute timely filings, and improve reporting workflows. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational integrity, mitigating compliance risks, and supporting audits and regulatory examinations.

Working Location: Singapore (100% on-site working)

Job Description:

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Support monitoring and interpretation of regulatory requirements across countries and jurisdictions
  • Assist in preparing and submitting accurate and timely regulatory filings, including financial statements, transaction reports, and capital adequacy reports
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails to support regulatory reviews and examinations

Process Optimization & Tooling

  • Contribute to improving reporting workflows for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Help implement tools for data extraction, validation, and analysis
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and support corrective actions

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Risk, and IT teams to align regulatory processes
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory obligations and reporting standards
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance compliance readiness

Risk Management & Controls

  • Assist in identifying compliance risks and gaps in safeguarding customer funds
  • Support mitigation strategies and implementation of controls
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and transparency

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, or risk management within banking, financial services, payment firms, or fintech environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; experience working across functions and with external stakeholders
  • Hands-on and outcome-driven, with the ability to manage complex regulatory requirements
  • Prior experience with multi-jurisdictional compliance and safeguarding frameworks is a strong advantage
