Job Description
Our client requires an Assistant Manager to support the efficient running of a Cantonese restaurant outlet in line with corporate strategies and brand standards, while meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Assistant Manager will assist the Outlet Manager in running the outlet as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlet's operating concept and international hotel standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the efficient running of the department in line with corporate strategies and brand standards
- Support the Outlet Manager in managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget
- Help ensure the financial success of the outlet through effective cost and operations management
- Manage manpower costs and contribute to driving financial goals
- Communicate fluently with Mandarin-speaking guests to ensure a seamless dining experience
- Support administrative functions and maintain high customer service standards
- Uphold operational standards across the outlet consistently
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience as an Assistant Manager in a hotel or large Cantonese or Chinese restaurant with good service standards
- Great knowledge in restaurant management
- Well-versed in operational standards, managing manpower costs, and driving financial goals
- Comprehensive knowledge of business needs and productivity requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent administrative, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken
- A can-do attitude
