Assistant Manager - Rev Mgt & Analytics

Position Summary

The role is a hands-on analytical execution role responsible for transforming daily booking, pricing, and inventory data into accurate reports, forecasts, and system actions. This position ensures data integrity, pricing execution accuracy, and analytical support for revenue decision‑making using SQL‑enabled datasets, automated reports, and BI tools.

Primary Responsibility

Revenue Operations & Execution
- Review and validate daily rate changes, restrictions, and inventory actions executed by the Senior Analyst.
- Ensure execution aligns with approved pricing strategy and forecast assumptions.
- Monitor booking pace, pickup trends, and demand calendars.
- Escalate execution risks or unusual demand patterns to the Manager.

Reporting, Data Validation & Analytics Support
- Prepare and distribute daily operational reports (OTB, pickup, last night, arrivals, forecast comparison).
- Perform basic SQL queries to validate data consistency across PMS, CRS, and reporting databases.
- Maintain automated reports and alerts (pickup anomalies, rate audits, geo‑source gaps).
- Sanity‑check analytical outputs used for pricing and forecast decisions.

Forecasting & Performance Support
- Support rolling and short‑term forecasts through structured analysis.
- Assist with variance analysis vs. forecast, budget, and prior year.
-Prepare analytical commentary for pricing and performance reviews.

Rate Integrity, Systems & Promotion Support
- Oversee daily rate integrity and coordinate issue resolution with IT, Distribution, and Finance teams.
- Support rate plan, package, and promotion setup validation.
- Assist UAT testing, system enhancements, and post‑change validation.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in revenue management, reservations, or revenue analytics.
- Working knowledge of pricing and inventory controls, basic forecasting, and channel distribution.
- Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS, CRS, and OTA platforms.
- Intermediate SQL and strong Excel skills; basic BI tool experience is a plus.
- Ability to validate data accuracy, monitor execution quality, and identify system or data issues.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability under pressure.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to escalate risks appropriately.
