Job
Description:
We are seeking a dynamic
and experienced Assistant Manager - Startup and Innovation. The ideal
candidate will possess a strong background in program management, fundraising,
and fintech capacity building, along with a deep understanding of the fintech
ecosystem, particularly in inclusive finance, climate, agri and enterprise
development that drive economic and social inclusion.
- Startup Ecosystem Engagement:
○ Collaborate with fintech, and relevant stakeholders to
understand their challenges and support their development.
○ Facilitate resources, networks, and market linkages to help
fintechs achieve their goals.
○ Onboard stakeholders like other accelerators, incubators,
startup consultants to execute startup related projects in regions across South
Asia, South East Asia and Africa.
- Fundraising and Proposal Writing:
○ Identify funding opportunities and craft compelling
proposals in response to RFPs from international donors seeking consultants for
fintech ecosystem development and engagement.
○ Collaborate with MSC’s sectoral domains—agriculture,
climate, gender, MSME, and inclusive finance—and regional teams across Asia and
Africa to develop solutions leveraging startups and craft them into proposals
for funders.
- Program Management:
○ Design, implement, and oversee accelerator/incubator
programs.
○ Manage program budgets, reporting, and performance metrics.
○ Provide mentorship and guidance to fintech to drive growth
and scalability.
- Training and Capacity Building:
○ Develop and deliver tailored training programs for startups and
ecosystem players, focusing on business development and technical improvements.
○ Conduct workshops and sessions to enhance skills, improve
operational efficiency, and promote best practices for startups.
- Networking and Partnerships:
○ Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders
across fintech, investors, mentors.
○ Manage MSC’s WhatsApp engagement initiatives with startup
ecosystem partners
○ Produce podcasts featuring industry leaders.
○ Represent MSC at relevant forums, events, and industry conferences.
Requirements
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, or
related fields

● Prior experience in inclusion-focused initiatives or
startups.
● Familiarity with key players and trends in the global and
local startup ecosystem.
Essential

● Hands-on experience working with fintech, particularly in following
sectors - agri, climate, inclusive finance, and enterprise development- focused
on economic and social inclusion.
● Expertise in startup program management, incubation, and
proposal writing.
● Strong training and facilitation skills, with the ability to
design and deliver startup capacity-building initiatives.
● Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities.
