Assistant Manager (Student Life & Engagement)

Lead Student Life Engagement & Operations

  • Manage and mentor student leaders, student clubs and chapters to foster an engaged and inclusive student community

  • Plan, organise and evaluate a comprehensive calendar of student engagement activities, appreciation events, academic enrichment workshops and community initiatives that enhance the student experience and peer engagement

  • Collaborate with Schools and other Business Units to align student life initiatives with institutional goals, supporting student success, wellbeing and retention

  • Lead the recruitment, development and succession planning of student leaders, clubs, chapters.

Manage publicity and administration for Student Engagement

  • Manage and execute communication strategies for current students through social media, e-newsletters, campus publicity and the student life mailbox

  • Maintain and update student life communication materials, including webpages, collaterals and student guides

  • Coordinate student mobility applications and maintain related records

  • Oversee the administration of student life resources, venues, equipment and operational records

Manage administration of student medical insurance

  • Manage annual contracts and relationships with student medical insurance providers

  • Liaise with the Business Units to coordinate timely registration of students for coverage

  • Manage enquiries relating to student insurance and monitor insurance utilization and reporting

Build partnerships & enhance student experience

  • Build partnerships with internal teams and external organisations to enhance student engagement

  • Lead volunteering, networking, community engagement and experiential learning initiatives

  • Analyse student participation, engagement data and satisfaction surveys to evaluate effectiveness and improve programmes, student wellbeing and retention

Manage and lead the student life & engagement team

  • Lead, coach and develop the student life & engagement team to deliver high-quality programmes and services

  • Develop annual operational plans, budgets and key performance indicators for student life initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies relating to event management, safety, risk management and governance

  • Prepare management reports, budget and strategic updates on student engagement, participation and programme satisfaction, effectiveness and outcomes

Others

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of managerial experience

  • Strong event management/leadership skills with ability to multi-task

  • Enjoy working with youths from different cultural backgrounds

  • Proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Relevant experience in a Private Education Industry environment would be an advantage

  • Willing to work after 6pm and weekends where needed.
