We’re Hiring an Assistant Manager!

Be part of something sweet! We’ve opened a brand-new candy store concept in Downtown Charleston and are looking for a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help lead our team and bring this exciting new concept to life.

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, support and motivate team members, deliver excellent customer service, and help create a fun, welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the GM with daily store operations and overall team leadership
• Help hire, train, coach, and motivate team members
• Lead by example by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
• Oversee cashier operations, cash handling, and accurate transaction processing
• Help manage opening and closing procedures and ensure the store is ready for business
• Maintain inventory levels, restock candy and merchandise, and assist with inventory counts
• Ensure the store stays clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing
• Assist with scheduling, team communication, and daily task assignments
• Address customer questions and resolve concerns professionally
• Ensure team members follow company procedures for cleanliness, safety, cash handling, and customer service
• Help create a fun, upbeat, and team-oriented work environment
• Step in wherever needed to keep the store running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail, food service, or customer-service experience required
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable with a strong work ethic
• Able to lead a team while remaining hands-on with daily tasks
• Trustworthy and comfortable handling cash and overseeing transactions
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays
• A positive attitude and willingness to help build something new
