Our client is a leading international energy and infrastructure group with an established presence across the world. The business operates across the upstream, midstream, downstream sectors, with a strong global commodities trading platform. As part of its continued growth in Asia Pacific, the company is looking to hire an experienced Trade Finance professional to support its trading, financing and banking activities in Singapore

Role
Reporting to Head of Finance. The role is responsible for supporting end-to-end trade finance activities, including reviewing purchase and sales contracts, preparing import and export documentation such as LCs, SBLCs, bank guarantees, collection bills and trade loans, and managing invoices and payment settlements with counterparties and banks. The position will also handle treasury activities, record financing costs in the NOVA trading system for accurate trade P&L, arrange trade financing, support banking and borrowing requirements, and assist the Financial Controller in strengthening banking relationships across Asia Pacific.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of trade finance experience, preferably gained within a commodities trading company or bank. Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, import and export documentation, trade financing, payment settlements and banking facilities is required. Experience with Konsole and Kyriba would be an advantage. The candidate should also possess strong stakeholder-management skills and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
