ASSISTANT MANAGER – TREEHOUSE CLUB

Sandy Lane, an AAA Five (5) Diamond exclusive resort, Forbes Five Star and member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a highly organized and dynamic individual to join its team as Assistant Manager -Treehouse Club.

The Role

The Assistant Manager- Treehouse Club will report to the hotel Manager and will be responsible for implementing and participating in all children’s activities and assist in the development of said programs

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of The Treehouse Club, ensuring a safe, engaging and consistently high-quality experience for all children and families.
  • Plan and organize all The Treehouse Club special events, activities and birthday parties, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Finalize and maintain the weekly and seasonal activity schedules, including Festive, Easter, Halloween and other special programmes.
  • Develop new activities and experiences that encourage creativity, learning, imagination and interaction among children of different ages.
  • Lead and supervise The Treehouse Club Attendants, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, weekly rosters, training, coaching and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure all team members consistently follow the hotel’s Game Plan Standards, SOPs and service expectations.
  • Develop, implement and regularly review Standard Operating Procedures for The Treehouse Club Attendants and Babysitters.
  • Be responsible for the coordination and quality of the hotel’s babysitting service, including interviewing new babysitters and conducting babysitting meetings three times per year.
  • Manage all children’s activity and craft supplies, including ordering, stock control and ensuring appropriate inventory levels.
  • Source and maintain children’s welcome gifts and coordinate the annual purchase of Festive gifts.
  • Manage the sourcing and annual maintenance of The Treehouse Club uniforms.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for families, including Concierge, Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and Recreation.
  • Take ownership of guest feedback and all Treehouse Club-related guest issues, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Attend relevant departmental and hotel meetings and communicate key information and actions to The Treehouse Club team.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and participate in the monthly Profit & Loss meeting, ensuring responsible management of the department’s budget.
  • Prepare and submit monthly Board Reports, departmental Scorecards and other required reports.
  • Process and monitor all The Treehouse Club invoices and Purchase Orders through Erequestor.
  • Ensure that all required records, reports, schedules and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Maintain strong awareness of child safety, security, hygiene and safeguarding requirements, ensuring that all procedures are consistently followed.


Our ideal candidate must possess:

  • At least five years’ experience in childcare management
  • A Secondary level education with reading, writing and computation skills
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Ability to swim, work in the sun and lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work under stress calmly and be professional in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent grooming standards and a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to be creative and innovative when planning activities

The successful candidate must be in good physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending and stretching.
