Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - Finance to oversee key finance functions with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll Operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, vendor invoice management, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and support month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Review and validate vendor invoices for correctness and completeness.
- Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving/delivery reports before processing payments.
- Prepare and review General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Ensure compliance with GST and TDS regulations, including timely filing and payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules required by management and auditors.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth finance operations and process compliance.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong exposure to Accounts Payable and Payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Workday is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
