Assistant Manager, Warehouse Operations

Job Summary:

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for supporting and managing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient inventory management, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service. This role oversees warehouse planning, manpower supervision, inventory control, warehouse layout optimization, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and company standards. The position works closely with customers and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective performance.
• Plan, monitor, and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with customers and cross-functional departments to ensure operational requirements and service expectations are met.
• Attend meetings with customers, management, and internal teams as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company safety policies.
• Monitor warehouse quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Review and adjust warehouse schedules and timelines to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure operational readiness.
• Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse staff while organizing relevant training programs.
• Improve warehouse service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer feedback and operational issues.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage locations, stock classification, and warehouse space utilization.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, operational discipline, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties and special assignments assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or Assistant Manager experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience in warehouse logistics, distribution, or in-house warehouse operations is preferred.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP/SAP, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD (preferred).
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FIFO, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and people management skills.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and organizational abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Customer-focused with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
