Assistant Marketing Manager
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies for Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), tunnelling equipment and underground construction solutions.
- Conduct market research on Singapore and regional infrastructure, MRT, railway, road tunnel, utility tunnel, water and underground construction projects.
- Identify potential business opportunities, upcoming tenders, infrastructure projects, contractors and prospective clients.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, government-related organisations and other industry stakeholders.
- Prepare company presentations, marketing materials, product brochures, technical-commercial proposals and other promotional materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, technical, commercial and project teams to understand customer requirements and support the preparation of suitable TBM and tunnelling equipment solutions.
- Assist in tender and quotation preparation, including collection and coordination of commercial and technical information.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, industry developments and customer requirements, and prepare market analysis reports for management.
- Support business negotiations, client meetings, technical presentations and commercial discussions.
- Maintain regular communication with existing customers and follow up on potential projects, enquiries, quotations and business opportunities.
- Coordinate and participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, seminars, technical presentations and customer engagement activities.
- Assist in promoting the company's TBM products, tunnelling technologies, after-sales services, spare parts and technical support capabilities.
- Coordinate with the company's headquarters and overseas/regional teams on marketing activities, project opportunities and customer requirements.
- Maintain customer databases, project pipelines, sales leads and business development records.
- Prepare periodic marketing, business development and project opportunity reports for management.
- Perform other marketing and business development duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager or management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in B2B marketing, business development, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or heavy equipment industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of tunnelling, underground construction, Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), or infrastructure projects would be an advantage.
- Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to understand and coordinate technical and commercial information with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese is required for this position, as the incumbent will be required to communicate regularly with our China-based headquarters, coordinate with Chinese-speaking technical and commercial teams, handle Chinese-language business correspondence and documentation, and liaise with clients in China.
- Able to prepare and review business correspondence, presentations, reports, and project-related documents in both English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with marketing, technical, commercial, and project teams.
- Willing to attend customer meetings, project sites, exhibitions, conferences, and other business activities when required.
