The Role

Crimson Education is seeking a strategic, highly autonomous, and market-savvy Assistant Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Executive to fully own and scale our growth marketing strategies targeting Mainland and Mandarin-speaking families residing in Hong Kong.

This is not a purely execution-based content role. You will be the end-to-end owner of Crimson's Chinese marketing vertical—responsible for everything from strategic macro-planning and campaign localized execution, to rigorous ROI evaluation and optimization. The ideal candidate possesses native-level insights into the current Mainland consumer climate, deep expertise in high-conversion Chinese social channels (WeChat, Xiaohongshu), and a proven track record of driving high-value lead generation independently.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

  • Strategic Planning & Ownership: Design and execute the overarching, end-to-end localized marketing strategy to build Crimson’s brand equity and drive premium lead generation within the HK-based Mandarin-speaking community.

  • Social Media & Content Strategy: Own Crimson’s positioning on Chinese social platforms (primarily Xiaohongshu/RED and WeChat). Develop high-converting, localized content matrices and video marketing strategies that resonate with affluent Chinese parents.

  • Performance Marketing & ROI Evaluation: Plan, launch, and manage paid ad budgets across Mainland channels (WeChat Ads, Xiaohongshu, Baidu). Track, analyze, and evaluate campaign performance metrics (KPIs, CAC, ROI), translating raw data into actionable growth strategies.

  • High-Impact Event Management: Independently architect, promote, and execute end-to-end Mandarin-focused marketing events (high-end seminars, webinars, workshops, and expos) designed to convert high-net-worth prospects.

  • KOL & Partnership Acquisition: Strategically identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with top-tier publishers, parent bloggers, micro-influencers, and alumni to co-create high-engagement campaigns and livestreams.

What skills and experience are required?

  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of solid experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and event planning specifically tailored to Chinese/Mainland audiences. Experience in premium education, EdTech, or luxury/consulting sectors is a significant advantage.

  • Market Insight: Native or near-native understanding of the Mainland consumer mindset, cultural nuances, and up-to-date social media algorithms/trends (WeChat, Xiaohongshu/RED).

  • End-to-End Execution: Proven ability to work with extreme autonomy—handling projects single-handedly from initial concepts and copywriting through to final performance evaluation.

  • Language Skills: Exceptional, persuasive copywriting skills in Simplified Chinese/Mandarin. Fluency in English is required for internal global collaboration. (Proficiency in Cantonese is a strong plus).

  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Highly data-literate; comfortable evaluating marketing analytics tools. Proficiency with content/video creation and marketing integration software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, Marketo).

  • Visa Status: Must already possess a valid working visa in Hong Kong (e.g., IANG, TTPS, or Dependent Visa with working rights) requiring no immediate sponsorship.

Why work for Crimson?

  • Rapidly growing start up, with a flexible working environment where you will be empowered to structure how you work

  • Limitless development and exposure - our internal promotions/role changes made up 33% of all recruitment last year
