ASSISTANT MOSQUE OPERATIONS (ESTATE & FACILITIES)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the daily estate and facilities management of the mosque to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for worshippers.
• Conduct regular inspections of mosque facilities, including prayer halls, ablution areas, common spaces, and building systems.
• Coordinate estate-related matters and liaise with NOJA, contractors, vendors, and maintenance service providers for repairs and upkeep.
• Perform basic maintenance checks, report issues promptly, and oversee minor repairs and preventive maintenance works.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper upkeep of the mosque premises and surrounding areas.
• Prepare and set up facilities for daily prayers, Friday prayers, religious programmes, events, and community activities.
• Manage crowd flow, safety, and order during peak times and special events.
• Support logistical arrangements for mosque programmes and assist in dismantling after events.
• Work closely with mosque staff and volunteers on operational and facilities matters.
• Uphold mosque etiquette and provide courteous assistance to congregants when required.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Diploma in any field (Facilities Management, Building Management, Estate Management, or related discipline preferred).
• Able to understand basic estate and facilities management matters and coordinate with NOJA and external contractors.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on operational, maintenance, and facilities duties.
• Positive work attitude with a willingness to learn and serve the community.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, punctual, reliable, and respectful in all interactions.
• Able to work morning and/or evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Malay is an advantage).
• Prior experience in estate/facilities management, building maintenance, or similar roles is an advantage.
• Passion for community service and working in a faith-based environment.
