Job Summary:?
As the Assistant Operations Manager, you manage a large functional area on a production-based government contract. You are responsible for your functional area’s overall production and quality levels. You work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Program Manager, the U.S. government customer, and our incredible staff. You will also manage and maintain involvement in employee hiring, operations and quality reporting, contract management, and operations excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure excellent team operations performance that meets all our requirements and standards
- Hire and manage a technically proficient and professionally capable staff throughout the life of the contract
- Provide timely deliverables and performance-related data to the government customer and our people to allow adequate support services monitoring, oversight, and performance measurement
- Conduct continuous improvement activities which will realize improved service delivery capabilities and performance
- Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness at every opportunity
- Resolve problems with minimal disruption to contract activity performance
- Rapidly respond to surge requests and provide the appropriate levels of qualified staff
- Participate as required in conference calls and digital video conferences with our U.S. government customer and other government entities
- Provide formal and informal briefings to visitors or at off-site conferences
