Assistant Operations Manager
Job & Responsibilities :-
- Assist the Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the distribution center, including planning and supervising the day-to-day activities of the warehouse staff and work closely with other departments related to inventory, audit, customer service and compliance.
- Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Manage the receiving and shipping of products, ensuring that all products are received and shipped in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as productivity, picking accuracy, and on-time delivery, take appropriate actions to improve performance as needed.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are well-maintained and in good working order, coordinating repairs and maintenance activities as necessary.
- Together with the Operations Manager to revise, develop and or implement new standard operating procedures to drive process improvement, efficiency, reduce cost and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements related to the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products.
- Conduct training to warehouse employees on operational procedures.
- Ensure warehouse employees are adhering to established safety guidelines.
Education and experience: -
- Tertiary education.
- Min 3 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably in the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to provide coaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills. Dissecting and analyzing complex data.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products.
- Familiar with warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
