Assistant Process Engineer – Perovskite & Thin-Film Processing

KEY JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Assistant Process Engineer to join our R&D team in advancing perovskite photovoltaic technology.

The role will support the development and optimization of perovskite coating, vacuum deposition, PVD and thermal evaporation processes for perovskite mini-module fabrication. You will work closely with the R&D team on process improvement, equipment troubleshooting and achieving stable, consistent fabrication results.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

The job scope includes:

  • Perform and monitor perovskite coating and vacuum deposition processes according to experimental schedules.
  • Support PVD and thermal evaporation processes for perovskite mini-module fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct process monitoring and thin-film measurements to evaluate process performance.
  • Support equipment inspection, maintenance and PVD target replacement.
  • Analyze experimental results and contribute to process optimization and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate process records and promptly identify and report abnormalities.
  • Coordinate daily work activities and support smooth execution of fabrication and experimental tasks.
  • Guide or coordinate junior technical personnel where required.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant working experience in process engineering, thin-film processing, semiconductor, photovoltaic, coating, vacuum deposition or related fields is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with PVD, vacuum deposition, thermal evaporation, coating or thin-film processes will be an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented and responsible, with a strong focus on process quality and consistency.
  • Good organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Experience in coordinating, guiding or supervising junior engineers, technicians or laboratory personnel is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates with relevant industry experience and a strong interest in perovskite photovoltaics and emerging thin-film technologies are encouraged to apply.

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated engineering professional to join our growing R&D team in advancing perovskite photovoltaic technology.

The role will support perovskite coating, vacuum deposition, PVD and thermal evaporation processes for the development and fabrication of perovskite mini-modules. The successful candidate will contribute to process optimization, equipment troubleshooting and process stability, while working closely with the R&D team to advance high-performance perovskite photovoltaic technologies.

Candidates with relevant industry experience, strong problem-solving skills and experience in coordinating or supervising technical personnel will be highly valued.
